Dutch-style ripple frames were originally manufactured in Germany and Spain instead of Holland, but referred to as "Dutch" due to the popularity in the Netherlands. The Dutch Ripple Collection from Bellini is created using a combination of black/mahogany water based colours and natural bees wax. This moulding is suited to oil paintings, portraits, maps and often used with a delicate gold or silver fillet to enhance the classic look.
