Peterboro Cardboards Limited has been a pioneer in Specialty Art and Framing since 1906, today it is the only Canadian company producing matboards in North America.
In late 2001 Peterboro driven by a new management team set out to make Peterboro a truly global company. The renewed vision for the future of Peterboro has brought with it, qualified staff, fresh ideas for products and a solid commitment to customer relationships.

Peterboro has set out to only produce new products that
work to enhance works of art and not compete with them.
Framers want matboards that are easy to work with on a
daily basis and at the same time keep them profitable in
today’s competitive market. Peterboro is striving to
make this a reality.
New Products
The development of new designs, colours, and textures is important but product performance must meet or exceed our customer’s expectations. New product development must now fulfil 2 basic requirements:
1. STANDARDS OF QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE
Peterboro has added a pulp and paper expert to oversee all product development and a quality control technician to test all incoming raw materials and outgoing finished products. Their combined mandate is to work together to insure all products meet rigid guidelines for quality and performance
2. DEVELOPMENT
Over the past 2 years Peterboro has been developing new products to expand the matboard line keeping in mind at all times their ultimate use. Our new specifier reflects this goal with many new additions including Peterboro Conservation, Vantage
Whitecore, Designer Silkscreen, Designer Suede and Blackcore ranges.
